Create a Custom Look by Framing Your Refrigerator

This refrigerator is framed in its own walled in box giving it a totally custom look.

Custom built and refrigerator can be an expensive combination. Custom refrigerators that are built-in are pricier options than the regular free-standing fridge. Custom refrigerators are typically narrower, providing less interior space than the free-standing refrigerator because the custom fridge lines up with the other cabinets and countertops in the kitchen. Free-standing refrigerators are a much cheaper and far more plentiful option than their custom counterparts.

ARHTX has been customizing free-standing fridges for homeowners and offices by:

  • Creating a built-in box for the refrigerator which encloses the refrigerator making it look like part of the custom-cabinet build.

  • Die the countertop into the cabinet box that you’ve made for your refrigerator. Making the countertop width match the refrigerator box width is an easy way to create this die-in.

  • Use the refrigerator as a focal point in another area. You can do this by building a wall around three sides and face framing it across the front. Face framing makes any appliance look naturally built in.

Arguably, your refrigerator is the most used appliance in your kitchen. Easy access, allowing for the correct door opening direction, and nearby counterspace for easy in and out activity will keep your refrigerator part of a clear directional kitchen flow. Customizing the woodwork around the refrigerator will give it an upscale appeal during its busy life!
